India’s import from China dips 27.63% from April to August.

The Commerce and Industry minister, Piyush Goyal, in a written reply to the Lok Sabha said that India’s imports from China dipped 27.63% from April to August to USD 21.58 billion as compared to the same time in the previous year.  The total imports from China in August 4.98 billion while in July it was USD 5.58 billion.

In a separate reply, Goyal said that there is no proposal to withdrawn the status of China as Most Favoured Nation (MFN).
