The bridges as stated by Sir Rajnath Singh are strategic locations and are important as they help in connecting remote areas. The bridges will be helpful in supplying goods to armed forces who have been placed near the border of China. The bridges have been built by Border Roads Organization (BRO) in a very short period of time and have proved to be efficient in their work.
CM Rawat who was also one of the attendees of the virtual inauguration stated that these bridges will be of great benefit to the pilgrims of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The people living in the hilly areas of Pithorgarh have been demanding the bridges from a long time as the rocky terrain made it difficult for them to travel. He stated, “Their demands have finally been met, thus opening new avenues of development there”.
