The ongoing events and circumstances taking place in today’s world has left people with no option but to turn their backs to media and press as it became mere laughing stock for people which was once considered to be fourth pillar of democracy. The media houses has degraded its standard by producing worthless news and scams.

One such scam which is very well-known, the hot topic of discussion is the ‘Republic TV’ TRP Scam, the hearing in the Republic TV’s petition against the Mumbai Police FIR in TRP Scam case in the Bombay High Court witnessed the intense exchange of arguments between Mr.Harish Salve and Mr. Kapil Sibal over the grant of interim relief.

Wherein Police Commissioner in a press conference stated to take some action against the Republic TV, and thus Mr. Salve arguing from the side of Mr. Arnab Goswami Editor-in-chief of Republic TV that the court should grant interim protection wherein he felt that his client Mr. Arnab might be arrested in case. Mr. Sibal as opposing counsel argued that as Mr. Arnab was not accused and such there was no reason to pass the interim order of protection.

After much back and forth court stated that if the investigating officer wants to question him, summons will be issued and in case of urgency the court will grant liberty to present the case before it. Also during the hearing the court strictly expressed its displeasure at the Police Commissioner Pram Bir Singh giving press statements about the case. It also prevented the parties appeared before the court not indulge with media and press until the proceedings are complete.
