US Supreme Court Rejects Trump-Backed Texas State’s Suit To Invalidate Results In Favor Of Joe Biden

The state of Texas attempted to legally challenge the Supreme Court of United Stated of America to undo the elections results which favoured Joe Biden in four states, Texas was backed by Donald Trump. The decision of the Supreme Court caused a major set back to Trump’s bid. The four states in question in this particular case are Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Georgia. In this matter the Supreme Court stated this motion filed by the State of Texas for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas , the two conservatives of the Court mentioned that they would have allowed the State of Texas to sue but would not have granted them any other relief. This was seen after noticing that majority held that Texas had no right to bring the suit itself. The Republican Attorney General of the State who was Trump’s ally and also the one who filed this suit alleged that the results in the four states in question were “unconstitutional” as they had many fraud prone mail votes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Donald Trump went to Twitter and tweeted that this was one of the most important cases and that the Supreme Court should show wisdom and courage, before the hearing. After the judgment, he again took to Twitter and posted “The Supreme Court really let us down. No Wisdom, No Courage!”
