Two suspected Jaish – e – Mohammed terrorists were arrested in the Sarai Kale Khan area in Delhi on Monday around 10:15 as the Special Cell of the Delhi police laid a trap for them. A major attack has been filed in the National Capital. The terrorists are still being interrogated but they were caught with 2 semi – automatic pistols and 10 live cartridges in their possession.
The young men are natives of Jammu and Kashmir and have been identified as Abdul Latif Mir, (22) resident of Pala Mohalla in Baramulla and Mohammad Ashraf Khatana, (20) resident of Hat Mulla village in Kupwara.
According to India Today, the suspects were headed towards Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), but their attempt was foiled by the Indian Army. The youth were eventually going to escape to POK through Nepal after they attacked Delhi.
The Delhi Police has been carrying out many such operations at different locations to foil any possible attacks.
