Pakistan claims its hand in the Pulwama attack.

On October 29, 2020, Pakistan has claimed to have had a hand behind the heinous Pulwama attack. A senior Pakistani minister made this statement. The attack took place in Pulwama last year on 14 February. It is considered to be one of the deadliest attacks yet. It killed around 40 CRPF personnel along with creating a cold war-like situation.
The tension between the two countries had greatly escalated and it had almost brought the two counties to the brink of a deadly war.
India had retaliated by bombing the Jaish-e-Mohamad terror camps in Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area of Pakistan. During this attack, Wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman was captured by Pakistan after his MiG-21 Bison jet was shot down. But due to pressure from India’s side, Pakistan had to release Wing Commander Abhinandan as soon as possible. Pakistan’s Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chahudhary said in the National Assembly during a debate that the attack was a great success under the leadership of Imran Khan and that ‘we hit India in their home’.
A charge sheet has been initially filed by The National Investigation Academy (NIA) as the terror attack had reference role to Pakistani State actors and other terror groups. Initially, Pakistan had rejected the charge sheet calling it a “mischievous attempt”.
